Scientific Facts of Prayer

Research about the relationship of prayer and health, existed from the 19th century. British scientists was trying to find answers to the habits of the King of England who often prays for his people. In previous studies, found the existence of entanglement with the health prayer. Research at that time took samples from several existing beliefs such as Christianity, Judaism, and Buddhism.

Other studies about the power of prayer, also conducted by Harvard Medical School. In that study, found a third of adults surveyed using prayer as a part of the business of healing diseases. Of the patients on the prayer, praying for the good 75% and 22% for certain health conditions. From the prayers, 70% claimed that prayer is very helpful.

Then how to prayer can heal someone? This is what is being sought by the investigators revealed today. However, an outline of the researchers gave the initial presumption that the prayer could be used as means of relaxation and is able to radiate positive energy.

When someone prays, then, while praying they can calm the mind, separated from other activities so as to provide refreshment of body and soul. Prayer is also capable of causing effects in the form of better conditions and positive in spirit, thought, perception, memory, intention, will, and the like. Prayer improve mood and emotion, and bring calm to the situation which then radiate to all sides of life for those who pray.

In the scientific capabilities of this prayer is described by Pert CB (1999) in his book "Molecules of Emotion: The science behind mind body medicine." He explained that the key to the power of prayer emosilah it. Emotions can relate what is able to do the prayer of the condition of body and soul.

In the brain tissue, there hypothalamikpituitary system. This system is the main communication channel that connects the mind and emotions with the carrier molecules are released into the fluid through the nerves and blood circulation system throughout the body. At this level of positive emotions evoke changes in bodily functions that have a major impact on our health.

However, research about the power of prayer is still being implemented. There are still many things unanswered, such as how much dose is right for someone to pray, how prayer must be done, to be able to directly impact and effects of prayer on the other beliefs that are still untouched by the studies that already exist.
